![]() ![]() The only other interesting thing to add is that I understand that Verdi IV LMMM is much the same tuning with or without 'musette' badge - not sure that applies to the V. The Verdi isn't as good a quality made instrument (lower cost new) as Atlantic. ![]() I've (rarely) seen them for sale & I know they come with LMMM but never noticed them badged as 'musette'. If you mean the musette tone difference the Atlantic is usually very wet/Scottish the Verdi not quite so wet.Īlso the CB model is a cassotto bass (?) according to a Hohner document, although this could be a bad translation for bassoon reed but I've never seen inside one so can't be certain. Not heard of it in connection with Verdis tho'. Bad examples of undone ones are apparent visually by high keys unless someone has mauled the rods - so if at risk get the grill off for a look.Ītlantic & Lucia for sure and possibly Virtuolas & possibly other models from the same period. The foam pads I understand were 1970s models, most pads will have been renewed/replaced by now as the foam compresses & crumbles away.
